The firm’s partners have vast experience in dealing with Administrative Law issues before the Malaysian Courts, Planning Tribunals and Commissions of Inquiry.

 

The scope of the firm’s partners’ expertise in this area of the law includes the following: 

  • Contesting and defending development orders granted under the Town and Country Planning Act 1976 in Courts and Planning Tribunals; 

  • Challenging tax assessments in judicial review proceedings and in proceedings commenced by writ; 

  • Providing representation in Commission of Inquiry hearings dealing with accidents during construction projects; 

  • Defending decisions on custom and excise duty exemptions made by a Malaysian statutory authority.  

 

The firm’s partners have also advised professional statutory boards on the conduct of disciplinary proceedings against their members.
