Kenny Chan Yew Hoong is a dispute resolution practitioner with more than 10 years’ experience in the fields of Construction Law, Oil and Gas Law, Contract Law, Tort Law, Company Law, Administrative Law and Land Law. He was called to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor in 2010 and started his career with Azman Davidson & Co. in the same year. He was made a partner in Azman Davidson & Co in 2018. He left Azman Davidson & Co. at the end of July 2021 and founded Messrs Yatiswara, Ng & Chan with Yatis Ramachandran and Karen Ng.
Kenny holds a Master of Laws from the University of London (International Programme) and is an empanelled Adjudicator with the Asian International Arbitration Centre.

Acted as part of a team for a Joint Venture entity in adjudication disputes against the Government of Malaysia relating to unforeseeable geological conditions in a tunnelling project.

Acted as part of a team for an expressway concession company in a number of High Court suits against the Government of Malaysia and various contractors.

Acted as part of a team for an oil and gas contractor in a series of adjudication proceedings and court cases involving disputes with its South Korean based sub-contractor.

Acted as part of a team for a local authority in the High Court and Court of Appeal in respect of a contractual dispute with the local authority’s parking concessionaire.

Acted as part of a team for a shareholder of a joint venture company in its petition in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Federal Court to seek relief for oppression of a minority shareholder.

Acted for a garment manufacturing company in its application in the High Court to seek a corporate rescue by way of an order for judicial management as part of the company’s plan to resuscitate its business.
