The experience of the partners of Yatiswara, Ng & Chan in providing legal representation in contentious dispute resolution proceedings forms the foundation upon which the firm is built. Cumulatively, the partners have nearly 50 years of experience contesting arbitration, litigation and adjudication claims as counsel and solicitors. The firm’s partners also have considerable experience representing parties before Planning Tribunals and Commissions of Inquiry.   The firm’s dispute resolution experience encompasses a wide range of the areas of the law, including Construction Law, Oil and Gas Law, Tort Law, Contract Law, Land Law, Land Acquisition Law, Planning Law, Administrative Law and Local Government Law. 

 

In addition to services in respect of dispute resolution proceedings, the firm also provides advisory services on legal issues to employers, contractors and sub-contractors in planned or ongoing construction projects. This is an important part of the firm’s practice as many of the parties the firm’s partners have represented in the past in contentious legal matters look to the firm to guide them on legal issues concerning their planned and ongoing construction projects well before these issues can lead to possible disputes.

Our Karen Ng Yueh Ying is an Accredited Evaluative Mediator with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and is also empanelled with the Asian International Arbitration Centre as a Mediator.
